First, I'm a husband and dad to my two kids. We live in Southern Oregon. I've been writing for about 20 years, usually about Christian living, theology, philosophy, apologetics, and culture. When my dad, and then my young wife, were both diagnosed with stage four cancer within a couple of months apart, our world changed. I wrote my first book to help people know what to say and do when something like that happens. It will help readers know how to love a friend or family member with a critical illness. This first book led the way for us to launch our company, Rebekah's Hope (www.rebekahshope.org). We help cancer fighters find hope through our authentic, hope-filled media. We now have an award-winning documentary, a full custom clothing line, online courses, coaching, and much more on Rebekah's Hope. My second book is titled, In Your Corner: A Caregiver's Survival Guide to Life, Love, Cancer, and Hope. I wrote this from the perspective of a husband AND a caregiver. It explores the unique issues, stresses, challenges, and temptations that caregivers face. I wrote this one from the heart and from raw reality. Next, I wrote EPIC Hope where I define and defend a view of hope based on a Christian worldview. However, I wrote the book really with a non-Christian or non-religious person in mind. It's intended to give powerful hope to anyone in need. I also run and operate Newbie Book Writer (www.newbiebookwriter.com) which teaches aspiring authors how to write, publish, and launch their first book. My passions are reading, learning, writing, and creating things. We love to hit up garage sales, thrift stores, and antique stores. We enjoy refurbishing old furniture and making old things, new. Geesh, we sound old. I'm 40 and Rebekah is 30. But we are quite nerdy. We love to relax in bed, watch our shows on Netflix, and eat ice cream.
