John Positano, coauthor of "Street Smart," has written extensively about law, the military and surfing for New York Daily News, Huffington Post, and Long Island Pulse magazine. He practices law as a litigation attorney in the Second Federal Circuit. He's won the George Polk Award, the Society of Professional Journalists Deadline Club Award, and the St. Bonaventure Award for Student Journalism. In addition to his law practice in New York, he was director of Public Relations for a prestigious college preparatory school for fourteen years. At present, he's co-producing a movie, a series and an off-off Broadway show based on his first co-authored book, "Dinner with DiMaggio." He is also developing other books/scripts. A father and grandfather, he lives near Stony Brook, Long Island.
