I will offer the following as context to his review. Scott and I only overlapped in the 48th AHC Blue Stars for a matter of weeks. His recollections and notes, whatever they are, would clearly differ from my own. He was not involved in most of the operations in which I participated in the 48th AHC. Further, he was not in the 203rd ASHC (Chinook), nor in F Troop, 8th Cav Blue Ghost when I was assigned to those units. So, he would have no knowledge of my activities as a Chinook Pilot or as Blue Ghost Blue in F/8 Cav. Lastly, when the U.S. Department of Defense finally approved my manuscript for publication; they stipulated that the book must be a first-person account that reflected only my views and recollections of that time period in South Vietnam. They also stipulated that I was to limit use of names of others in the three units in which I served. As I clearly state in the book, this is a narrative of my experience during the war in South Vietnam. If Mr. Barnes wishes to write about his own experience while serving in South Vietnam, I would encourage him to do so.
