Julie is Professor of English at The University of Akron in Ohio, where she teaches creative writing. Her published fiction includes a YA fantasy trilogy, THE TESLA EFFECT, consisting of GLIMPSE, RUN, and BREATHE, and DAUGHTER OF PROVIDENCE, historical women's fiction. Her literary agent is currently shopping her new novel, AND YET, THE WRETCHED SING, the first in a YA fantasy series tentatively titled THE WITCHES OF DEEPING. Julie is very fond of walking, is a pretty good cook, and a lousy but enthusiastic water colorist. She may or may not have too many pairs of boots. Who can say.
