Kai Hoffmann is not only an author and narrator, but also a practitioner who has experienced the world of Chinese martial arts firsthand. His deep connection to Gong Fu was forged during a long stay at the Shaolin Temple in China, where he not only studied but also performed as a regular member of the competition team and the show troupe. He was the first German to tour and perform with the monks throughout China.
As a medalist at Regional, National, European, and World Championships, he knows the sweat and discipline behind every movement. Today, he shares this knowledge as a trainer in the Ruhr region.
His technical expertise is further enhanced by his work as a lecturer and Wushu Taolu referee for the German Wushu Federation (DWF) and as a referee for the International Wushu Federation (IWuF).
With his book "SHAOLIN – The Immortal Legend," he now opens the temple gates to his readers.
