Kate Silverton is a journalist, broadcaster and author of 'There's No Such Thing As Naughty'. As a mother to two young children and training to become a child psychotherapist Kate was astounded by what she was learning about brain development and how it shapes a child's behaviour. Kate set out to write a book that was enormously accessible yet helped parents to understand their children through the prism of their brain development. Not only that she wanted to write a book that would help parents to lay the foundations for their child's future good mental health. Kate is married to Mike, a former Royal Marines Commando and has a daughter, Clemency now 9 and a son, Wilbur who is 7. They have a dog named Gatsby and live in London.
