Keith Kurlander, MA, LPC is the Co-Founder of the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, the largest professional education company for integrative mental health and psychedelic therapy education. He’s also the co-host of the Higher Practice Podcast for optimizing mental health, and co-founded the Integrative Psychiatry Centers, a cutting-edge psychedelic therapy and integrative psychiatry clinic revolutionizing mental healthcare. He also spent nearly 20 years practicing psychotherapy and coaching. After nearly committing suicide at age 19 following a psilocybin mushroom experience, Keith was thrust into a journey battling severe mental illness well into adulthood. He became a spiritual seeker and befriended world-renowned gurus in unusual places. He also tried countless healing modalities to overcome mental illness, including psychedelics in the jungle with shamans, traditional psychiatric medication, psychotherapy, alternative medicine, spiritualism, Judaism—basically, any ism he could get his hands on. After decades of trial and error, Keith overcame mental illness and co-founded a company where he teaches the steps and methods that can eradicate mental illness and bring sanity back into people’s lives. Keith is now a successful entrepreneur who is deeply passionate about spreading information about mental health and reaching one’s potential. Keith lives in Colorado. When he’s not working, he can often be found hiking on a trail in Boulder or watching the latest not-so-great sci-fi movie.
