Kevin Hancock is the former President + CEO and current Board Chair of Hancock Lumber Company, a seventh-generation family business founded in 1848. He is an award-winning author, nationally recognized keynote speaker, and executive coach whose work explores how organizations can disperse power, strengthen individual voices, and create environments where people thrive.

A graduate of Bowdoin College, Kevin is the author of three previous books: Not For Sale, The Seventh Power, and 48 Whispers. His newest book, The Ripple Effect, brings together the ideas at the heart of his life and work, exploring the power each of us has to create meaningful change through the way we live, lead, and engage with others. Across his writing, speaking, and leadership work, Kevin advocates for a more human-centered approach to organizations, rooted in listening, shared leadership, dispersed power, and the belief that every person deserves to be heard.

Kevin is a recipient of the Ed Muskie “Access to Justice Award,” Habitat for Humanity’s “Spirit of Humanity Award,” and Maine Development Foundation’s “Ken Curtis Leadership Award.” He believes the workplace can be a transformative force for healing a hurting world, one employee at a time.
