Laura Trinder creates stories and pictures. She is best known for co-creating the Midnight Hour middle grade series with her friend, Benjamin Read. She works from a cosy home studio in Hertfordshire, UK, alongside her husband (and fellow illustrator) Chris Wildgoose. They really want a doggie! Laura is a co-founder of the indie comics studio Improper Books and one half of the creative duo Trindles & Read. She was a bookseller for more than a decade and still loves to recommend books and inspire a love of reading. (She can’t help but tidy books when visiting bookshops and would happily make a window display if no one was looking.)
