Leah Browning is the author of Souvenirs from Another Life, a story collection published by Quiet Ocean Studio & Press in 2026. She is also the author of Two Good Ears and Loud Snow, mini-books of flash fiction; When the Sun Comes Out After Three Days of Rain, a collection of poetry; three short nonfiction books; and six chapbooks of poetry and fiction. Previously, Browning’s work has appeared in Four Way Review, Necessary Fiction, The Threepenny Review, Valparaiso Fiction Review, Passages North, Waxwing, Contrary Magazine, The Forge Literary Magazine, Flock, The Petigru Review, Chagrin River Review, Harpur Palate, Newfound, Ponder Review, Superstition Review, The Homestead Review, Watershed Review, Parhelion Literary Magazine, Belletrist Magazine, Random Sample Review, Mojave River Review, Glassworks Magazine, First Class Literary Magazine, Santa Ana River Review, and other literary journals and anthologies. Her second full-length story collection, Before and After a Slice of Cake, is forthcoming. In addition to writing, Leah Browning serves as editor of the Apple Valley Review, a literary journal established in 2005.
