"The Way of the Desert Elders" is about the lives and spiritual teachings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers of early Christianity 300-600 AD (2026) and "The Wild Land Within: Cultivating Wholeness Through Spiritual Practice" (2021) is about deepening our understanding of the unseen, but crucially important, inner landscapes of the heart and how they can be known, healed, and transformed into Christlikeness. Besides these, the author posts on her Substack often and has authored seven books, (independently published); written a number of articles online, been included in a number of anthologies, and been a guest on over 3 dozen podcasts, and numerous online and in-person events. Lisa has written and designed an immersive first-perspective Gameplay Experience due out in Summer/Fall 2025 that gives participants a chance to visit the historic places in the ancient Egyptian desert, view artifacts, dwellings, and existing communities, as well as (virtually) visit ancient, wise spiritual elders, accept transformative quests, try spiritual practices, reflect on powerful aspects in a journal, and allow the desert spirituality of Christian forbearers to sustain them in innovative and accessible ways.
