Matt Queen (BA, Mars Hill College; MDiv and PhD, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) formerly served as the ninth occupant of the historic L. R. Scarborough Chair of Evangelism ("Chair of Fire") at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Queen has written several books, most notably "Recapturing Evangelism: A Biblical and Theological Approach" (B&H Academic, 2023), “Everyday Evangelism” (Updated and Revised 5th Edition, Mobilize to Evangelize Publishing, 2025), as well as co-authoring with O. S. Hawkins the 2023 Outreach Magazine Evangelism Resource of the Year, "The Gospel Invitation: Why Publicly Inviting People to Receive Christ Still Matters" (Thomas Nelson, 2023).
