Mericia Palma Elmore is an advocate for performers and creative
industry workers, a recovering attorney, a trained librarian who
never quite made it into the stacks, and a professor. A longtime
Hawai‘i resident with a Texas soul, she is passionate about demystify-
ing intellectual property for the next generation of creators.
When she isn’t in a meeting, teaching, or serving the creative community,
you’ll likely find her scouting out a hidden independent
bookstore or planning a family adventure that is strictly high-scenery,
culture-rich, and foodie-driven. She firmly believes in the power
of a good mixtape, the efficiency of a city ferry, and the absolute
necessity of taking all your PTO days.
