Perhaps it was the long, dark winters in Rome, New York.
Or the small apartment over his Italian grandfather’s barbershop on Dominick Street, where he passed the time watching vintage film noir on one of the three local television stations.
Or maybe it was the colorful Sunday night dinners he would share with the Sicilian side of the family, down on the onion farm on South James Street.
Whatever the reason, from his earliest days Michael has been obsessed with narrative.
As a youngster he wrote short stories, and when older turned them into short films. Michael eventually brought those talents into his own advertising agency, and won countless awards for creative writing and superb production. He eventually began directing and spent the majority of his career in New York and Los Angeles, where his vision and expertise were tapped by every major advertiser in nearly every industry category. His directorial work also garnered hundreds of awards and worldwide recognition and include a Gold Lion from the Cannes Film Festival.
STATE OF DECEPTION is Michael’s second novel, and within its pages, a reader will find all the elements Michael has become known for. Exceptional characters. Compelling narrative.
