Michael LaVoice wanted to be a Marine but served in the US Army just in time for the first Gulf War. He was the fifth generator mechanic assigned to a Hawk Air Defense Artillery unit slated for three, and the other one was already the mail clerk. This means he spent more time playing soldier than wrenching on generators, which was probably best for the generators, and more fun for Michael. He has been writing since he was in grade school, trying his hand at various genres and formats, but always returning to his first loves, Space Opera, Military Science Fiction, and Fantasy. He is a fan of multiple genres of music, space navy battles, futuristic armored combat, and Space Opera in general. He lives in west Tennessee with his wife, one out of seven kids, a mackerel tabby with delusions of grandeur, and a German Shepherd who is FAR too clingy. He collects sharp and pointy things and bludgeoning weapons from Museum Replicas and probably has too many starship models and action figures. (As if there was such a thing as too many of those.) He runs a BookTok and Youtube Channel called LaVoice In Your head, and generally manages to have a good time.
