Nancy Cote was born in Massachusetts. She lives with her husband Michael in Somerset, MA. They have three children, Melissa, Katherine and John. She has written eight books and has illustrated over three dozen picture books for children. Her books have received many awards including The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award, American Booksellers "Pick of the List," Society of School Librarians International Honor Book, Smithsonian Notable Book for Children, The Florida Reading Association Children's Book Award, CBC-IRA Notable Trade Book, Sidney Taylor Notable Book, Parenting Magazine Best Book and inclusion in The Original Art 98' Exhibit in NYC (Society of Illustrators). Her book, JACKSON'S BLANKET was selected by the Bank Street College of Education in their annual Best Children's Books of the Year List for 2009. Her newest books, Watch the Birdie! and Puddle Jumpers published by Skypony Press, are now available for pre-sale through Amazon.
