Natalia Rachel writes to touch the heart, open the mind and inspire new ways of living, relating and weaving our world. Her latest work Love Sex Poetry Peace is a genre bending, women’s Fiction trilogy that shares a modern female perspective on relationships, romance, healing, parenthood and community. Instead of traditional romance tropes, Natalia explores the realities of dating and partnership amidst a middle aged app driven dating pool for women who are saying no to traditional relationship narratives and focussing on their self development and fulfIlment. She hopes that the protagonist, Tena, and her four female friends serve as modern role models to women who are navigating their own love lives. he work includes in her very personal poetry which she wrote while processing her own love life. She's taken great pleasure in creating a tapestry of fantasy, reality, poetry and narrative driven stories. Her work was inspired by not only her own journey, but the stories of her close friends and some of her therapy clients who are also learning to love later in life. Before Natalia decided to explore the world of fiction, she released her first nonfiction book Why am I like this? Illuminating the traumatized self, that came out with Penguin Random House in 2022. The book blends philosophy, memoir, self inquiry questions and somatic exercises for the reader to go on their own journey to heal from trauma and live a more connected life. Natalia is also the creative lead behind The Living Poetry Project, a process oriented multimedia production that inspires Australian youths to explore their own relationship narratives through poetry. From the age of seven, Natalia has used the power of poetry and prose to help herself and others make sense of complete, often unarticulated experiences, that release shame, inspire hope, and call us all to radical accountability and deeper compassion. Her words are both profound, playful and make it safe to start exploring the unseen and unexpressed. Her mission is to unearth the things we can’t quite put our finger on or are too afraid to say. Aside from her work as a writer, Natalia is a therapist and facilitator who has worked with individuals and groups in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The global nature of her work continues to inspire reflections on the struggles of humanity and the path to our shared liberation. She is currently based in Sydney, Australia where she enjoys mornings at the beach, time with her two children and keeping a quiet rhythm between projects.
