Thanks for finding me! I write books and stories for both kids and adults, inspired by my passion for the American West, lifestyles of small-town Texas and the people from the farming community of Dimmitt where I grew up. I completed a BBA in business, and now write from a cattle ranch in the Texas Panhandle. I enjoy talking to about writing, becoming an Indie Author, and of course, all things western. My newest book is A NEW FATHERLAND written with a German co-author about the early settlement of the Texas Hill Country. My two history-cookbooks with authentic, cowboy approved recipes from the cattle trailing and Cowtown era featuring archival and working ranch photos. Both won first place from the Will Rogers Medallion Awards. I recently served a two-year term on the Board of Directors of Western Writers of America, and now I'm on the Board for the Academy of Western Artists. Also a member of Women Writing the West, the American Chuck Wagon Association, West Texas History Association, and is the 2022 recipient of the Lifetime Membership Award from Texas High Plains Writers of Amarillo.
