Nicole Makarewicz wurde am 1. April 1976 in Wien geboren. Die Journalistin und Autorin studierte Kommunikationswissenschaft, Soziologie und Psychologie. Seit 1994 ist sie als Journalistin aktiv, seit 2008 widmet sie sich jedoch hauptsächlich dem literarischen Schreiben. Im Wiener Seifert Verlag erschien 2009 ihr Roman „Tropfenweise“, 2010 folgte ihr Erzählband „Jede Nacht“. Nicole Makarewicz gewann den „Forum Land Literaturpreis 2009“, die „12. Münchner Menülesung“ sowie 2012 das Krimistipendium „Tatort Töwerland“. Zahlreiche ihrer Erzählungen wurden bereits in renommierten Literaturzeitschriften und Anthologien veröffentlicht.
