Peter Gregg is an award-winning author, journalist and amateur farmer who has made a career mostly writing about maple syrup. As a young man, he had dreams of writing the Great American Novel but instead spent his life penning thousands of stories a breakfast condiment. He is the publisher and longtime editor of The Maple News, the trade magazine covering the North American maple syrup industry. He is also a source and spokesman for United States agriculture who is regularly quoted in national media including the New York Times, USA Today, CNN and others. His first book, The Sugar Rush, was published in 2024 by Pegasus Books/Simon&Schuster. He splits his time between the Upper East Side of Manhattan and a farm on the New York/Vermont border. A sequel of The Sugar Rush is due in 2026.
