Rachael Davis-Featherstone is a mixed-raced Black-British multi-award-nominated author. She has published over 25 books ranging from picture books to adult novels and has been translated into 10 languages. She has been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, longlisted for the Diverse Book Awards and shortlisted for the Inclusive Books for Children Awards. Her debut YA Oxford Blood was The Bookseller’s Book of the Month and a Season Top 10 highlight. Rachael is also a literary agent and she co-founded Creative Roots Studio which helps writers and illustrators build sustainable careers. She was selected as Rising Star for The Bookseller, class of 2025. In her spare time, Rachael is pursuing a PhD in authentic representation of the mixed-raced identity in children’s literature at Bath Spa University.
