Born in 1972, Richard Man’s love of self-sufficiency started at a very early age. As a young boy, his father’s passion for bushcraft, off-grid living, and the harvesting of wild plants created an idea of long-term self-investment that has continued to grow and flourish throughout his life. In college, he was introduced to the financial world, and after three successful decades in that industry as a stockbroker, a desire to share his knowledge of financial empowerment led him to the writer’s table. His expertise in the field includes stocks, bonds, ETFs, and retirement assets. However, as his blockchain knowledge and success with cryptocurrency grew, he knew he needed to give others the tools he had created. Both Cryptocurrency for Beginners: Here’s What You Should Know, and Simple Explanation of Bitcoin: Bitcoin for Beginners are meant to make the daunting world of cryptocurrency accessible to the novice. His Off the Grid Survival Book stems from the same place, the desire to help everyone gain the self-sufficiency yielded by investment in personal knowledge and hard work. His books are written in a targeted manner to empower and educate, making difficult and opaque concepts available for all to understand. Richard is a husband and father of two young men. Family represents his highest priority and most successful investment. When he is not out practicing his own bushcraft or foraging for wild edibles, you will often find him jaunting through Central Park with his canine companion, Max. Other interests include the creation of home-cooked cuisine, a well-written book, and the enjoyment of an exquisite cigar paired with a Stag’s Leap cabernet.
