Robert Peal is Joint Headteacher at the West London Free School. Having gained a double first from the University of Cambridge in 2010, he studied for a masters at the University of Pennsylvania on a Thouron scholarship. Robert qualified as a teacher through Teach First, working for two years at a comprehensive school in Birmingham, before moving to London. He has a passion for teaching and learning about history - his first attempt at a history book was about a local Civil War battle site called Basing House aged thirteen. More recently, he wrote the Knowing History secondary school textbook series for Harper Collins.
