Rye Barcott is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, social entrepreneur, and author of It Happened on the Way to War. He co-founded and leads With Honor, a cross-partisan organization that champions principled veteran leadership. He also co-founded the youth leadership nonprofit CFK Africa and serves on the advisory boards of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation and the U.S. Institute of Peace. Dartmouth awarded him an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife and their three children.
