Shelmina is the CEO of ShowYourWorthAI, a former IBM Vice President, Keynote speaker, angel investor, philanthropist and a distinguished alumni. She went from being first in her family to graduate college to becoming one of the highest ranking women of color at IBM - while raising her two children as a single mother since they were 4 and 2. She faced many internal and external barriers in the workplace which caused her to underestimate her worth. With the help of her many supporters combined with her determination to succeed, she discovered strategies that enabled her to show her worth and scale the leadership ladder. At the peak of her career, she left her corporate role to help others achieve success by showing their worth. This journey unfolded into a second career of mentoring hundreds of women, becoming an advocate for achieving gender and racial equality in leadership roles, writing a book and starting ShowYourWorthAI. Shelmina has degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
