Stefano Vignaroli, born in Jesi on 7 April 1959, practices as a veterinary surgeon and has always worked in the small animal sector in Italy in the Province of Ancona. As a Veterinarian employed by the local Health Authority, he often found himself collaborating with the Police in investigations and operations concerning illicit animal trafficking or episodes of ill-treatment against them. A great lover of dogs, but also of mountains and jazz music, he made his litterary debut in spring 2011 with Commissioner Caterina Ruggeri's first adventure, "Esoteric crimes". "The Mysteries of Villa Brandi" and "The Diary of a Psychopath" followed, two novels that have the same protagonist as the first, the good and intelligent Police Commissioner Caterina Ruggeri, who began her career in the Dog Police. Currently engaged in writing the historical series "Lo Stampatore", set in his city, Jesi, at the beginning of the 16th century.
