Tara Goedjen writes atmospheric thrillers for adults. Her forthcoming thriller, PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY, will be out Fall 2026 with Emily Bestler Books/Atria. (Think Amy Tintera's LISTEN FOR THE LIE meets Shirley Jackson's THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE.)
Tara is also the author of two young adult speculative mysteries: NO BEAUTIES OR MONSTERS and THE BREATHLESS. Before writing books, Tara worked as a tennis coach in Europe, as a college lecturer in the US, and as a fiction editor for a publishing house in Australia.
Tara also holds an MFA and a PhD in Creative Arts, and loves talking about books with her readers. Her short fiction has appeared in AGNI, BOMB, and Fairy Tale Review, among other places. She currently lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she can usually be found hiking through a mysterious wood while dreaming up her next novel.
