After graduating in Latin and Ancient Greek at the University of Amsterdam 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗗.𝗠. 𝗩𝗿𝗶𝗷𝗺𝗼𝗲𝗱 (1982) moved to Rome. She has worked as a secretary in a law firm, as a tutor in Latin at an American study center and as a tour guide in the Vatican. She has co-written two travel guides about Rome and now works as a teacher for the Dutch School of Rome. In 2023 an established Flemish publishing house published her first historical novel. 𝙃𝙚𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙫𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙖 talks about the children who, in 1944, were born in the bed of the pope. It's a love story about war, hope and the power of music.
