He is also director of publishing and professional writing programs at Cornerstone University, where he has taught as an adjunct professor since 1989. Author or editor of numerous specialty Bibles, books, articles, magazine features, and devotional pieces, Beals holds degrees from both Cornerstone University and Western Michigan University and has held leadership positions at both Zondervan and World Vision. Beals resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
