I’ve always been passionate about teaching, technology, and creativity—but I never imagined I would become an author. My career began as an elementary school teacher, where I discovered a love for technology in the classroom. That passion grew into entrepreneurship when I designed and sold furniture that supported teachers using technology across the country. Apple Computer later selected me as one of sixteen national trainers, which inspired me to return to college and earn my master’s degree in Educational Technology. After leaving the tech world, I followed another passion—cooking—and created SwapThoughts, a cookie business that crafted handmade fortune cookies used as unique marketing tools for businesses. When COVID kept me home, I found myself restless and decided to try something new—writing. That leap of curiosity turned into my first children’s book, The Nodders—What! You Don’t Want to Nap? What started as a fun project has grown into an award-winning book that is now loved by families around the world. I live in Nashville with my husband, Mark. I’m the proud mom of three children, and a delighted grandmother to four amazing grandchildren.
