He has written and presented documentaries for the BBC and for RAI, the Italian state broadcaster, and has been a columnist for both the Observer and Internazionale. He's a regular contributor to the Guardian and the author of many true-crime long-reads for the paper. He is the co-founder of Windsor Hill Wood, a refuge for people in a period of crisis in their lives, and currently works as an investigator/researcher for an environmental charity.
