Working in a library and leading preschool literacy programs for over 15 years means author Vesta L. Giles has heard the Itsy Bitsy Spider about a billion times. In fact, she’s heard it so many times it inspired her to write a story about the real story of Harold, The Itsy Bitsy Spider (Hint: he’s a spy / kid and he saves the world). That story (it will be a future book) inspired her new series of chapter books called The Spyders. The Spyders are Harold’s three kids – Thaddeus, Gracey, and Curt, who are every bit as good at getting into trouble as their dad. Their Mom, Martha, is also a spy and knows a thing or two about getting out of trouble! A lover of all things creative, Vesta L. Giles is a writer and filmmaker based in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Although she has been writing magazine articles, screenplays, and contributing to books for nearly 30 years.
