Yogi Shiva’s story begins in the small village of Sheikhupur, Punjab, where life moved slowly and wisdom was shared from one generation to the next. Those early years gave him a deep sense of faith, patience, and connection that would stay with him long after leaving his childhood home.

When he was seventeen, his family moved to Canada, and everything changed. The pace of life was faster, the culture was new, and like many children of immigrants, he had to find his balance between honoring his roots and adapting to his new world. Over time, he found stability in work, eventually joining the Canadian Armed Forces, where he served for more than six years as an Avionics Technician. The structure gave him direction, but deep inside, he knew something was missing.

That quiet longing came into focus one day during a moment of stillness in Barry’s Bay. What seemed ordinary turned into a profound shift, opening his heart to questions he could no longer ignore. He left his military career and turned toward self-discovery through yoga, meditation, and spiritual study.

Since then, simplicity and service have defined Yogi Shiva’s life. He has traveled across Canada, spending time in places of prayer and reflection, listening deeply, and offering compassion to those in need. Without seeking recognition or titles, he continues to live by trust, meeting people where they are and reminding them, through his presence, of the peace and clarity within.
