Yvonne Pearson is the author of the picture book, SADIE BRAVES THE WILDERNESS, along with many other books for children, including THE CHILEAN MINERS: BURIED ALIVE, 12 GREAT TIPS ON WRITING POETRY; and the POETRY PARTY series. Her next picture book, LITTLE LOON FINDS HIS VOICE, arrives in September 2021. Yvonne has also published books and poetry for adults and is the winner of a Loft-McKnight Writing Fellowship as well as other awards. A retired clinical social worker, she is passionate about spending time in nature, loves to travel, hike, spend time on the water, laugh with her grandchildren, and of course, curl before a fire during a Minnesota winter and read a good book.
