Zee Smalls is a native of Newark, NJ. She is one of 5 children. She married her loving husband Al in 2013, and together they are raising their two children Daasia, and AJ. For years Zee worked as a medical office manager and receptionist. Although she loved what she did she always felt like something was missing. In 2017 their son was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome. At that time she and Al agreed that she would stay home to tend to their home and children for a while. Zee wrote her first novel when she was just 18 years old. She started writing as a way to clear her mind, as a release. She says that writing is therapeutic for her in many ways. For years she had a passion for telling stories that kept many people interested in hearing the ending. And although Zee wrote her first novel at just 18, she never published any of her writings over the years. She held on to each book, or novel for many years waiting until the time felt right. And in May of 2020 during the COVID19 pandemic, Zee decided that it was time to share her writings with the world. To her this was the only time that felt right.
