The Heart Sutra, originally a very short set of verses, was given in privacy as a message to one of Buddha's close disciples, Sariputra, specifically addressed to him. Over time the Heart Sutra became one of Buddhism's core teachings. In these 10 talks, Osho presents the powerful message of these ancient words and brings them to a modern audience - one with different minds and needs than the original audiences of Buddha more than 2,500 years ago.

These discourses contain what Osho describes as the most significant statements ever made, which point to the whole secret of the mystic approach toward life. And the sutra that begins this series of discourses, he says, contains the very essence of the entire Upanishadic vision - that the universe is an indivisible totality, an organic whole. Osho illuminates these ancient texts with such clarity that their significance seems stunningly obvious.

Osho illuminates the Chinese Zen master Hyakujo’s concept of sudden enlightenment, showing that everyone is already a buddha. No master, he says, can give you anything; he can only take your false beliefs away.  

 I love the statement that the "man of Zen walks in Zen and sits in Zen" for the simple reason that meditation cannot be just a part of your life. You cannot make a fragment of your life meditative.

Sufism, also called “Islamic Mysticism” is a belief and practice in which Muslims seek to find the truth of divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience of God. Osho has spoken in a number of series on this beautiful tradition - which he compares with other spiritual and religious traditions - elaborating the underlying essence to an international audience. Osho brings the listener in contact with Sufism through his experiential sharing.

Taoism is a Chinese philosophy based on the writings of the Chinese mystic Lao Tzu. There are many sacred writings and different teachers of Taoism. Taoists focus on living a simple and balanced life in harmony with nature. This is one of the most important principles in Taoism. This series of talks by Osho is based on a famous work The Classic of Purity by the Taoist mystic Ko Hsuan.

There is a famous Zen story about a disciple, Riko, who once asked his master, Nansen, to explain to him the old Zen koan of the goose in the bottle. Namely, if a man puts a gosling into a bottle and feeds the gosling through the bottle's neck until it grows and becomes a goose - and then there is simply no more room inside the bottle - how can the man get it out without killing the goose or breaking the bottle? In response, Nansen shouts, "Riko!" and gives a great clap with his hands.

In The Secret, Osho introduces us to the world of love, and initiates us into the ways of love. 

 Do you see the meditativeness of the trees surrounding you? Such stillness! Just as you are listening to me, they are listening to me, not even a leaf moving. The birds are singing.

Humans have an inbuilt drive to search for their inner power and potentiality. This search is the search for life itself. We are here, we have life - but we don't know what life really is. We can feel our energy but don't know where this energy comes from and to what goal this energy is going. We are that energy; we have glimpses of its true source and our connection to it, and those glimpses keep us going even when it seems we will never find what we are seeking - but still we do not know what that energy is.

Dharm, Sannyaas, Dhyaan ke rahsyon ka udghatan aur andh-shraddha par kutharaghaat Osho ki is pravachanmala ke pramukh swar hain. Bhaarat ki samaajik evam dhaarmik moodhtaon ne kis prakaar is desh ko dhyaan ki khumaari, prem ki khumaari se vanchit rakha hai yah Osho ne apni vaani dwara spasht kiya hai.

Dariya sahab ke sutra se aarambh hoti hui yah pravachan mala vividh bhangimaon ke saath Osho ki vaani se rassikt hai. Jaat, paat, dharm, raajneeti mein chipe hue paakhand ka pardafaash karte hue Osho hamein ek anant ki yatra ka sanket dete hain. Ve kehte hain, mera sanyaasi anhad ki talaash mein laga hai, seemaon ka atikraman kar raha hai. Ghar chodna nahi hai, ghar mein rehte hi jaanna hai ki ghar meri seema nahi hai. Parivaar chodna nahi hai.

These talks are answers to personal questions from seekers that touch on a wide variety of fundamental life issues. This is an enlightened being's profound, loving and, at times, humorous response to them. Responses to a question on how to explore the higher states of consciousness. According to Osho there are not many ways to explore higher levels of consciousness, there is but one: the way of awareness. "Man is almost unconscious. I say “almost” - there are moments, situations where he becomes conscious, but they are momentary."
