About this listen

In a world reliant on technology, the bright flashes in the sky were just the beginning.

With the power gone, the UK falls into a state of panic. The ensuing anarchy is simply the warm-up act. Shaun Taylor is stranded far from home, far from a broken family he needs to make whole again, and he will do whatever it takes to get back to them. What would you do to get home? What would you do if the lights went out?

From the best-selling author of After It Happened and Toy Soldiers comes a new UK post-apocalyptic series.

Not the best Devon C. Ford you are going to be finding by a LONG way. If you are looking for another "After It Happened" you are going to be left holding an empty box. The characters are uninteresting and the main male lead is pathetic as an individual specimen. At the 6-hour point, I was ready to quit and ask for my time back.

If Devon C. Ford was a wine I would tell you to avoid 2022 at all costs.

EDIT: If you can wait for the weaponized Ebola to make an entrance to the plot development which is at approximately 7 hours 30 min you might start to like this series. The main characters were Bring Me to Sleep and then we get the virologist from the plane crash to come back in during a new charter and you are left thinking "Oh yeah, the plane crash."
However, I will remind you that if you are looking for another "After It Happened" you are going to be left holding an empty box.

EDIT NO.2 - I got the second edition of the series on the promise of things getting more sophisticated with the introduction of the weaponized Ebola and I am 4 hours and 49 so far and not a single mention of the virologist or the JSOC snake eaters and their uber-hard core female boss ... WTF Mr Ford?

Devon is from England as am I and I find his main character Shaun to be as limp as wet cardboard. All the moral compass cr@p is just ridiculous in a SHTF environment. Shaun: I knocked this guy out who would have killed me as soon as blinked but I will put him in the recovery position before moving on. Get the F**K out of here with that shite ya goober ...
You do not even need to wait for the apocalypse to have crackheads stab you to death in London for your watch, any cash you have on you, and your trainers!
When you are competing against authors like D. J. Molles, J. L. Bourne, Mark Greaney, and Mark Tufo et al you are going to need to up your game sir!
