About this listen
The Great Perfection as it was taught at Mindrolling, in the words of one of Tibet's most remarkable women masters.
When Mongol armies sacked Orgyen Mindrolling in 1718, Jetsün Mingyur Paldrön, daughter of the treasure revealer Terdak Lingpa, escaped into exile. She returned to rebuild the monastery and to pass on teachings that had nearly been lost.
Ornament of Samantabhadra's Intent records her oral instructions on the Ati Zabdön Nyingpo, her father's Great Perfection treasure, taken down by a disciple as she taught: the qualities of teacher and student, the preliminaries, the introduction to awareness, Trekchö and Tögal, and liberation in the bardo.
It is preceded by Terdak Lingpa's liturgy of the preliminary practices and her own aspiration for the stages of Trekchö.
Translated from the Tibetan, with an introduction, notes, glossary, bibliography and index, by Rob Newton M.D.
