Publisher's Summary
Marlene's not like the other humans.
They weep while she smiles. They look at us with fear, while she entices me with a come-hither look.
I...have no idea why such a bold female resonated to a male like me. I am the most reticent of all the sa-khui tribe, a hunter that never expected to have a family of my own. But resonance chooses, and it has chosen her for me. And Marlene is quite determined to seduce me...and who can say no to such a woman?
Contains mature themes.

Arts and recaps makes story boring
Author seems to be running out of ideas. The story is the shortest yet, and spends the first hour of this 4.5 hr book recapping and reminiscing about how human gals ended up on an ice planet with sexy blue aliens
Marlene is French, and her narration is done with an annoyingly strong French accent. She’s superstitious, to the point of being completely calm at waking to find she was abducted by aliens and now is being rescued by huge blue suede devils... all because she sees “arts” (what she calls hearts) on floors and ceilings (a sign her mother is looking out for her) Really?! Also, she leers at Zenec from the moment they meet, which left me feeling more icky than entertained.
While not horrible, there was nothing much to love. I kept thinking of Marlene as Pepe Le Pieu, aggressively pursuing a frazzled and unsure Zenec. It balances out for the second half, but nothing new compared to the dozen plus books before it.

Accent was so hard to understand
Great book. Loved it. But the French accent was so heavy I could barely understand it. Disappointed in the narration.

Marlene is awesome lol
I wholly enjoyed this book (as I do everything by Ruby Dixon!) but the message in this story was so so beautiful and marlenes cocky personality in contrast to her mates was just delightful!!! Hollie did an outstanding job with the French accent and I know that can’t have been easy! Masterful story narrated to perfection!!!!!

A nice surprise.
I've read every one of this series and I must say Marlene is one of my favorite characters. Bold and sassy. I had to cover a laugh a few times. I like the way this one has been set. ruby dixon is a big favorite of mine and she hasn't disappointed.

C'EST TRES BON!
This little book is one of the best in the series.
However, if you are looking for inspiration to go along with your friend in the drawer of your bedside table several others are better company...
