Publisher's Summary
A heartwarming contemporary romance set in Louisiana’s Butterfly Bayou from New York Times best-selling author Lexi Blake.
Seraphina Guidry loves Butterfly Bayou. A young, single mom, she’s trying to find a place for herself in the town she cherishes, but past mistakes have made her wary. She adores her son but has sworn off men. She’s dedicated herself to restoring a historic house and starting her own business. A quiet life is all she wants.
Harrison Jefferys never expected to find himself in small-town Louisiana, but he has a job to do and a family to reconnect with. After years in the Army, he’s happy to spend time with his aunt Celeste and his cousins in such an idyllic spot. When he meets Seraphina, he starts to think Papillion might be a great place to call home. But a secret from Sera’s past rears its head and threatens to tear the community apart.
Caught between the woman he’s coming to love and the only family he has left, Harry knows he has to follow his heart, and with the help of the crazy, loving, meddling locals find a way to keep them both.

WOW !!!!!
Loved reading this book but the narration was out of this world!
Lexi Blake is one of my favorite authors. She always tugs on the heartstrings. Her stories are always an instant purchase.
The narrator brought this book to life. I would listen to her again definitively!
Can't wait for the next Butterfly book!!!!!!

A great heart wrenching made me cry romance
Such an amazing story, from start to finish. The story was about so many things. A wounded warrior, a very down on her luck but happy girl, a baby, old family hurts, and a wonderful change in an old Louisiana matriarch, a wonderful K9, and old gator. What’s not to like in this story. Great narration by Jessica Almasy. I would forget it was a female reading the male parts she was just that good.

More Celeste story than romance
There is a romance between Seta and Harry, but, to me, it was much more the story of Celeste breaking free of the past and coming into her own. This story was not laugh out loud funny as the first one, but I laughed and clapped when Celeste gave the set downs at the dress shop. You don’t have to have read the first book of this series; those characters are only mentioned in this book.

Beautiful story about relationships within families
I loved this story. The relationship between Sera and Harry was incredible, and their chemistry was amazing, but I think my favorite part was watching the other relationships around the couple grow. The way the Celeste grows and changes throughout the story is a beautiful study in humanity. I’m a devotee of Lexi Blake’s novels, but I really feel this is a stellar example of what she can do.
The narrator was good and does a great Cajun accent, but I didn’t like how she gave Harry a Cajun accent too. It threw me off from being totally immersed in the story. Harry is from Dallas, and should have had more of a Texas drawl. Otherwise, though, the narration was great, and I was still able to enjoy the story.

Do yourself a favor and listen!!!!
Having read many of Lexi Blake's books before, I knew this series would be good! But I didn't think I'd love it as much as I do! I have a definite love for the south and LA, Cajun, etc. so that drew me in as well! But what great stories! love it and recommend highly. I especially think that the Audible is spectacular! Jessica Almasy does a fantastic job narrating. Her Cajun, LA accent I adore...and she does a sexy man's voice!!!! Do yourself a favor and listen!!!! ❤❤❤

Bayou Baby
Well I love the reader! It’s a soapy story with sexy sounding characters. Not my usual listen. But it’s Lexi Blake...she is talented and can write a story that will be a hit in any genre...I suppose.

Lexi never disappoints
Love this new series, the characters are at times funny, sad and even flawed but always believable. Another series which will be on my " to be read again & again" list. Narration was excellent.
