Publisher's Summary

A well-written book that is a curious reminder that our in-between life with all its information lies within our subconscious.

Dolores has accumulated information about the death experience and what lies beyond through 16 years of hypnotic research and past-life therapy. While retrieving past-life experiences, hundreds of subjects reported the same memories when experiencing their death, the spirit realm, and their rebirth.

This book also explores:

  • Guides and guardian angels
  • Ghosts and poltergeists
  • Planning your present lifetime and karmic relationships before your birth
  • The significance of bad lifetimes
  • Perceptions of God and the Devil
  • And much more

I love Dolores Cannon's books - AWFUL narration

Dolores Cannon has decades of hard work to be appreciated and shared. Her books are very interesting and her legacy should be meticulously preserved.

The many mispronunciations of even basic words by the narrators make it difficult to enjoy this audio book. I have this book in hard copy and read the book a few years ago.

Just thought it would be fun to listen to this book while doing chores.

But the terrible narration, and apparent lack of editing to correct even the most basic mispronunciations (NDEs are repeatedly pronounced as "N-D-E-S," apparently the narrator can't even pronounce an acronym correctly) make this experience more and more irritable and 2 hours in I am abandoning listening to this book.

Professional narration and detail-oriented editing/production is needed. Please, if you are going to have Dolores Cannon's body of work translated into audio format, do her legacy the justice of caring enough to produce a better quality audio book.

Distracting narrator

Would you try another book from Dolores Cannon and/or the narrators?

Dolores Cannon has followers, so I decided to try one of her books. The writing is poor. I don't own the book, but would like to know this: Does the text itself actually state, "... so to say," in every paragraph? Do spirits really say that? I might read another book by Cannon, but the female narrator of this book was terrible.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Cannon's assertions are interesting. Some of her conclusions match those of other writers in this genre, but some stray afield. Who knows who's right?

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Dozens of mispronounced words cause distraction. One that made me laugh out loud was "douche linn" for "Deutschland". The narrator's accent itself was distracting as well.

Was Between Death and Life worth the listening time?

No. I'd recommend reading the text.

Any additional comments?

A different narrator might have caused me to assign four stars, rather than three. I'm trying to be fair.

fantastic information

this is totally worth it however you will need to get past the extremely clunky delivery. really. obviously not professional readers. never the less it is super interesting . the worst part is a short section when the male reader makes sounds of ecstasy. ugh! creepy and grose.

One of her best.

I'll listen to this one a few times for sure. Narration is fine, don't listen to the negative reviews (it might help if you've read any of her other books as this audio version is in the same question / answer format).

the performance makes this book untenable

Audible is using the same set of reviews for this book that are used for Jesus and the Essenes. check it out.

the narration for questioner and answerer should either be performed by different people, or should be distinguished literally between questions and answers. it would sound stilted but would clarify who is talking. Dolores: .... Spirit: .... it would remove the ambiguity.

i returned this book and repurchased it as a Kindle ebook because of the narration. i always fall asleep while reading or listening, and i awakened from this book feeling irritated and exhausted. listening while awake for five minutes settled out why. it was because of the effort required to figure out who is talking.

little doubt it will be a great read on kindle.

Was a pleasure to listen to and gave me much needed information to lay aside any fears of the afterlife . helps me to realize that we all have the mission here to accomplish and to strive to do and be more.

Narrator speaking for all female character's?

I love Dolores Cannon's books'. I cannot follow this narrative, as the same voice is acting for several people at the same time. Way, too confusing!

Good for healing an existential crisis

This is a great story. Seemingly fictional in the way it comes across, I just hope it is legit and a true message from the spirit world. For anyone questioning themselves or choices/direction or having an existential crisis, I recommend giving this a listen/read and showing as many people as possible. Dolores Cannon is being used as a messenger from that side, to us and I highly recommend as many people hear the message... even if it is somewhat hard to believe in places.

An interesting listen

I can say that i recommend this audio book, and though its raised a few questions and answered some, there were parts i couldn't make sense of, though i am very grateful to the author Dolores Cannon dedicated to putting this book together and sharing information on the afterlife. These are concepts, ideas or truths I've not heard before and religion has failed to scratch the surface and has caused so much untold suffering, including the long term suffering in my life which ultimately lead me to giving up on religion and seeking asnwers to questions no one will answer such as raised in this book and others by Dr Joe Dispenza, Dr Bruice Lipton, and Dr Jordan Peterson, thank you Dolores

Really worth reading/listening to

Fantastic book. It’s definitely affirmed some things I have wondered about and experienced myself. The only criticism I have is it would’ve been better to have someone narrating the replies from those in trance that was different to the main narrator- it became quite confusing at times who was talking.

Incredible book

If it’s your time to read this book, it will bring much awareness to the reader. Be prepared to be challenged by many different concepts about life & that there after. Fascinating new perspectives will emerge & a sense of calm and understanding about the meaning of life will be felt & understood on a deeper level.

Fantastic book well worth the read.

I loved the actual book, it's life changing content however it took a while to get used to the "etheric like" echo they added to the voice of the person under hypnosis. I did become okay with it but it almost turned me off the book in the beginning. It's worth pushing through it though.

A Fascinating peek into the other side

An excellent book, one you cant pause without wanting to get back to it quickly. The wonderous descriptions of the afterlife and the spiritual maturity experienced on the other side when contemplating rebirth are very detailed and enlightening. This is a must listen if you are interested in reincarnation and of our continued existence beyond the doorway of death. This goes beyond any religion or belief system.

Prepare to open your mind wide!!!

Delores Cannon is my hero and I am working on becoming a past life regression therapist just like she was. This book is one of her many that has just added to my excitement of this journey I am on and we as a collective are on.
This book is not for one who doesn't have an open mind or cannot allow themselves to imagine the infinite possibilities of what happens beyond the death of our vehicle (human body). If you are looking for new possibilities of what happens when life ends then this book is a great place to start.
Open your mind and enjoy 💖
