A new, fun story!
Rue Hollis is a former black witch hiding out from the Black Hat Bureau. Her former place of employment though, they’re in desperate need of her skills.
She’s a white witch with a secret. One that could not only put her in danger but end the new, normal life she has. When her old partner shows up, asking for help, with a folder of info and no idea how to start. This case is growing faster than Black Hat can move.
When the lines are drawn, the bodies are stacked up—things get hairy quickly. Rue has a choice to make; one that is going to put them all in danger but at this point in the case, it’s unavoidable.
Only the best will come out on top… good thing Rue knows her stuff—she’s going to need every advantage she has up her sleeve.

it was cool
the story was entertaining. it took me a chapter or three to warm up to the narrator's voice. its not bad... just not what im used to. I liked it enough to get the next one so that's something 😂

Eh....I almost made it to the end
The narrator is good. She reads great and gives every character a voice. But I never finished the book because a sample from another series literally engaged my attention more thoroughly and I started listening to that series. The storyline itself literally couldn't engage me well enough to let me finish this book.
