Publisher's Summary
Explore the common ground underlying the diverse expressions of the Buddha's teachings with two of Tibetan Buddhism's best-selling authors.
Buddhism is practiced by hundreds of millions of people worldwide, from Tibetan caves to Tokyo temples to redwood retreats. To an outside viewer, it might be hard to see what they all have in common. In Buddhism, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and American Buddhist nun Thubten Chodron map out with clarity the convergences and the divergences between the two major strains of Buddhism - the Sanskrit traditions of Tibet and East Asia and the Pali traditions of Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. Especially deep consideration is given to the foundational Indian traditions and their respective treatment of such central tenets as the four noble truths, the practice of meditation, and the meaning of nirvana enlightenment. The authors seek harmony and greater understanding among Buddhist traditions worldwide, illuminating the rich benefits of respectful dialogue and the many ways that Buddhists of all stripes share a common heritage and common goals.

Another english narrator ?
Honestly i would have loved an Indian to have narrated it . That person would have made justice to the pali and sanskrit pronunciation . English speaking folks can't just do it , it takes away the entire bliss from it

More research on readers
Pronunciation needs work - have someone who doesn’t have an American accent read it as they get all the pronunciations wrong. This is the Dalai Lama’s book - not an American novel. I cringed when I heard some of the pronunciations.

BUDHISM By Dalai Lama
Heard Completely. The last two Chapters captivated myself for its presentation related to morality, ethics and insistence on social togetherness.

Words mispronounced
Why didn't they get a narrator from the Indian Subcontinent? It's a torture to listen to the words being murdered like this.
