Publisher's Summary

Dr. Joss McNab needs a wife.

As if juggling surgery and being an instructor isn't enough, she's recently taken on a more demanding administrative role at the medical school that was named after her legendary father. To make things worse, she's now required to attend a growing number of galas, fundraisers, and conventions.

Wouldn't having a wife - a wife of convenience - help ease the burden that's threatening to overtake her world?

Sarah Young's heart belongs to painting. Much as she'd like to dismiss Joss' ridiculous proposal, the art world isn't paying well and she's running short on cash. Playing a trophy wife a few hours a week would cover her bills and still leave plenty of time to devote to her artwork.

The deal is struck. But will the convenient pairing turn into disaster or prove to be a stroke of genius? With feelings deepening and attraction undeniable, can two women who have agreed to settle discover that they could actually have it all?

Awesome!

This book was awesome! The narration was done well and you can hear the jokes and sarcasm without it being overly dramatic or solicitous. I'm a wicked fan of fake romances turning to more and this one was a winner, especially with the medical drama storyline.

Loved every minute of it.

Though there were quite a few steamy moments, it never came close to being raunchy. I love romance and can't wait for more.

All the feels

I've liked all of this author's books, and she hits all the markers with this one. Sure, it's a popular theme, but her character development makes the difference between a good romance and one that grabs your heart and makes you cheer. Lori Prince's narration is seller, capturing the characters' personalities expertly.

A unambiguously date

Life is grand and uneventful when you don't know what you are missing. Most delightful voice and most separated charters to know where to laugh, and to feel the heart strum. The very interesting approach to the fake dating storyline. I may have a new book to listen again.

Girlfriend for Hire

According to her mother Dr Joss McNab needs a wife. Being a heart surgeon, instructor and administrator has her with no time for all the socializing she has to do. Her mother’s solution is the struggling artist daughter of a friend. Sarah Young is an outgoing artist who can be Joss’s right hand for all events and give Sarah some much needed income. What will happen when attraction is an issue? Great performance and story. Recommend.

Loved this book

This books deals with the change we need to go through in relations to our parents. It is well written, Loved the main characters. And narration by Lori Prince always adds to the story.

Meh

It wasn't a bad book, just over done and to much angst. The narrator was so-so, blah at some points. I've read other books by this author, all better than this one.

Absolutely Entralling

Few lesbian novels develop the psychological factors which can inhibit good relationships as well as this novel. Nor do many novels do intense love scenes with beauty and grace. This novel does both these things well. Having hidden myself away from real love through workaholism for most of my life, this book speaks directly to my own issues. The author brilliantly develops both main characters as partners who will keep their fire burning because they are truthful.
