Balanced and Full of Good Tips

Dr. Amen has written a well balanced book on study tips and getting higher grades that may include ideas you’ve heard before but plenty that are new. It’s always good to review! We implement far less than we know and this resource helped me understand the science and “why” as well as the how. Knowing the why behind the tips will probably increase how many of them I actually apply!

Straightforward. Tips you can use right away.

So useful! Bought this for my 20-year old daughter and I ended up so engrossed that I finished it first. Wish I had this when I was 20.

How to be a good test student...

Change Your Brain, Change Your Grades, Listen to Bible passages....

This is a fairly good book for those interested in how to be a good student who can test well. The book focuses upon note taking, studying and exams with a little bit of science sprinkled in. The science of learning, however, does appear to be a little outdated with too much focus upon note taking and not enough focus upon modern learning/remembering techniques (active recall, spaced repetition etc)
