Bradfords...swoon.

SO glad that audible has all of the NFH books, I couldn’t handle being without those awesome Bradfords on audio. Loved Duncan & Necie together! Plus grandpa was a great side character, glad we got to see (hear) more of the Bradford clan. Would definitely recommend. Though I missed the usual NFH narrator (Fran), Eileen did a great job as well!

Is it the story or the narration...

Whatever it is, make it stop. I couldn’t get in to this book. Too much explanation of inconsequential things, not enough explanation of others and no “in between” explanations as the story goes from one thing to another. College t-shirt is run over by semi and is a mess... wait - why is it in the road? Brother is tied to bed... wait - why? Firefighter is in hospital with a concussion... wait - what happened? She slips on ice and HER BOOB is caught in some snow chains... what the... literally 2 minutes of listening after that: she’s in love with him, he hates her, she’s been here 12 months, what did I miss???? All this in less than an hour of listening. Couldn’t do it anymore.

Nothing good about this book..

This is possibly the worst CHRISTMAS story I’ve ever tried to read, and I only read to 36%. After that I went to read some more reviews. I looked up SEX on Amazon and it said in 2 or 3 reviews there was hot sex. Not my idea of Christmas. Besides, Necie was sooo clutzy it finally got silly.

Worse than that, the F-BOMB was used 250 TIMES, in 242 pages. That’s a lot. I happen to not be bothered by that word at all. But it just doesn’t seem to go with Christmas, at least not that many times.

As to the narration: Fran Jules was just alright for me. One minute her men would sound kinda like men and the next they sounded way to feminine.

I loved it!

I love how Mathewson put a spin on this one, and instead of the woman-hating the Bradford, it was the other way around.

Necie is in love with Duncan Bradford, and he is the handsome, charming, perfect fireman that lives next door. But to him, she is the annoying little jinx that he hates. What is a girl to do? Well, everything changes when they are stuck alone together in a blizzard with no heat for a few days.

I loved this installment, Mathewson keeps surprising me with the different spins she puts on these men and the stories. I love that they all have the same appetite, cockiness, and charm, yet they are all different. I would want a Bradford too, but I couldn’t afford to feed one.

I am rating Christmas from Hell 5 Boundless stars, and it was another great addition.

Poor Duncan Bahahaha

Another very funny NFH book, narrator was fantastic bringing this book to life.
One of my favourite Rom-Com series, looking forward to The Honeymoon from Hell Collecting Part 1 ( 13 hrs worth, I can`t wait.)

Abrupt ending

Once again, a pretty good story with a very abrupt and unsatisfying ending that leaves more questions than answers. If it wasn't for the decent sex and continuing story line, I'd quit reading the series. I keep hoping that the loose ends will come together.

Not the best Bradford story

There’s just too many things left unfinished here. While Grace says she knows she’s worth more than Duncan’s extreme mistreatment of her, that is never played out. He deserved so much deliberate hell from her after taking her virginity so callously, nevermind her grandpa’s plants that misled him. The story just seems like too much abuse with a “happy ending” forced into Grace which she gladly accepts.
