Publisher's Summary
One dead. One missing.
Loyalty pulls Wolf into the case. Getting back out alive will be another matter.
The latest brand new thrill-ride mystery in the number one Amazon bestselling David Wolf series.
One man is dead and another is missing down south near Ridgway, Colorado. When the local law enforcement reaches out to Chief Detective David Wolf's department, his task is to check on former-sheriff Harold "Hal" Burton. Because a person of interest in the case has also gone missing - Burton's estranged nephew, Jesse.
Out of loyalty to his old boss, Wolf is sucked into the case, and it soon becomes clear there is more going on than meets the eye. And as for disturbing clues, there are plenty to meet the eye when they arrive in Ridgway.
Meanwhile, change is in the air back in Rocky Points, as palpable as the buzz before a lightning strike. And it looks like if Wolf can survive the forces at play amid the jagged skies of the San Juan mountains, then more trouble awaits at home.
The acclaimed Amazon bestselling David Wolf mystery-thriller series continues in this new pulse-pounding mystery thriller, where things are not always what they seem. If Wolf wants to see justice served and stay around to see another day, he'll need to draw on all his wits. But, this time even that may not be enough.
If you like C. J. Box’s Joe Pickett, James Patterson, Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch, Craig Johnson’s Longmire, and David Baldacci, then this David Wolf Mystery Thriller is sure to keep you listening until the late hours of the night.
If you like chest tightening suspense, plots with more turns than a Colorado mountain road, thrills that will leave you sucking air, and smart characters you’ll love like family, then the Wolf series is for you.

Excellent Addition to the David Wolfe series...
In this thirteenth book in the David Wolfe series the publisher's summary gives almost too much information. The only thing it leaves out is the conclusion and epilogue! For that reason I really don't want to write a detailed review.
If you have enjoyed the other Wolfe novels I would venture to guess that you would probably enjoy this one as well. This is a good solid procedural. There are a few bumps along the way and David's loyalty is tested. Wolfe faces an uncertain and shaky future which he reconciles prior to his return home.
This book can be listened to as a stand alone but I would suggest listening to this series in order for continuity of relationships and events that are mentioned.
Sean Patrick Hopkins does an excellent job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Supposed to be the last book and it was great..
Divided Sky was book 13 or 13 and the whole book I was wondering what was going to happen to David Wolf. Jeff Carson sure kept you wondering! Overall, it was a curious but great ending. If it’s an ending to the series, it’s just too bad.
Overall, it was a terrific story and the killer was surprising. I sure didn’t see that coming!
No romance and the F-bomb was used 2 times.
As to the narration: Sean Patrick Hopkins got better with each book.

Another great book
I’ve read all the David Wolf novels and am a big fan. This one is another winner.
The narrator was good, but a bit too fast. Not enough to slow things down, just a tiny bit. It’s very personal though and apart from that, I think he did a good job.
Can’t wait for the next David Wolf book!
I got this audiobook for free as an introductory offer from the author. This is an honest review of the book.

Another winner!
Jeff Carson hits another one out of the park. I love the DAVID Wolf series and look forward to each and every one of them. This one did not disappoint me. I enjoyed having Wolfs old buddy along for this ride. The ups and downs and twists are the perfect ride. The ending was a pleasant surprise I think, I guess I’ll have to see how it plays out in the next, David Wolf!!

If It Weren't for Bad Luck...
When it comes to his love life and his career, bad luck is the only kind of luck David Wolf has. Geesh. Good guy, bad luck. No wonder I feel like he's a relatable character.
This is book 13 in the David Wolf series, and I still can't get enough. I like this guy. He's a long way from perfect, but he is tough, smart, loyal, and decent. He's also a great investigator. He's going to need all of his investigation skills as well as his slim reserve of political skills for this case. The clues all seem to point one way. But is he reading the clues right? This case is crazy and convoluted. But as with all the David Wolf novels, it's full of humanity, heart, wit, and people dedicated to the truth.
This can be read as a stand-alone novel. If you're a big fan of knowing the past history of the characters, though, you'll need to catch the earlier novels. Either way, this is another treat for fans of characters like Joe Pickett, Jack Reacher, Cork O'Connell, or Walt Longmire. If you enjoy crime novels with a strong LEO who seeks justice, but isn't afraid to do it on his own terms, David Wolf is a character you want to know.

Time to circle back
Some time has passed since Wolfe had a panic attack on the job and his job as Chief Detective may now be in jeopardy. That threat doesn’t stop Wolfe from going to the aid of his former boss, retired sheriff Burton. Burton’s nephew is on the run as a suspect in a murder and missing person and has pleaded with his uncle for help. Wolfe assists the local sheriff, in the pouring rain of course, to get to the truth. Wolfe is aware that he may lose his job if he doesn’t report back to Rocky Points but he’s determined to solve the case on behalf of his mentor. Good story just a bit slow in some parts…and the constant rain and bad cell reception is getting a tad tiresome. That said…I still love Dave Wolfe and will keep following him!
