Incredibly researched, highly informative, motivating towards transformational food habits!
Listening to the book reminded me of all the things my parents told me but I didn't pay much attention to, this book helped me understand deeply just how important these food are. Admire the deeply research focused approach (from good quality sources) the book takes. I also like that Shawn repeatedly insists on whole food sources of nutrients rather than supplements, which is my personable preference. Highly recommend for those looking to improve their overall health

where is the 30 days plan. The pdf is not downloadable. Though it's mentioned on the cover , the book has the 30 days plan . There is no such thing

It's Good. Nothing New Though.
Shawn does a great job explaining and his humor is on-point. He is fair in his assessments of food and he does provide caveats.. Unfortunately, he doesn't really provide any new information with regard to nutrition.

Gives us the knowledge to make our own decisions…
This book is not about perfection, it’s about giving us the knowledge to help improve our health wherever we are at in our life today.
I’ve been listening to Shawn for years through his The Model Health Show Podcast where he interviews experts that are known from all over. He has helped me in so many more ways than he’ll ever know. He’s information has provided me the foundation I needed to heal my own body after dealing with health issues for years. Through his teachings he’s got me fascinated with the health of our bodies using nutrition, sleep, exercise, and more. Over the last five years, I have read and listened to more than 4,000 hours of books and podcasts that cover nutrition and health. I love listening to him and I'm so glad he's reading his own book! It’s obvious he’s spent years of researching and consolidating peer-reviewed evidence-based studies, so we don’t have to. So thankful for all he has done for me and others through his teaching. There have been so many books I’ve wanted and tried to share with family and friends, but I knew it would be too overwhelming for them. In Eat Smarter, Shawn does a wonderful job, as always, at breaking everything down in a way that it’s easy for others to digest the information and really understand what is going on within you body. He covers how your hormones work, or are suppose to work, along with how different foods affect our bodies. Within, Eat Smarter he breaks down the myths we have been taught throughout our life while providing us highlights from fascinating studies. He also throws in some great humor to keep it fun and entertaining.
For anyone looking to improve loose weight, improve gut health, or wants to just learn more of how the body communicates this is the book for you! He does a great job at staying high level to keep the amount of information digestible. He also provides a game plan for long-term lasting success in staying healthy along with delicious and tasty recipes that give you great nutrition, too.
He gives us the information we need to make educated food decisions and not subscribe to a specific diet as we have been taught in the past. Makes me curious and think of even more questions I would love for him to cover in Eat Smarter Too (fingers-crossed).

The best book to kick off this new year!
This book is amazing and it’s very detailed in dues and don’ts with creating a vibrant vitality lifestyle. Shawn’s storytelling and puns throughout the book are hilarious and are captivating to your attention keep engagement with your mind as the book unravels this well needed information. This book gave me a lot of updated information about nutrition that I really needed. The narrative was very quickly spoken though, and a little too loud for bedtime listening. Don't let that stop you though, listen before bed and learn

Life changing experience
I heard Shawn on an YouTube interview and bought the book right away. I’ve applied these principles and my life has changed completely. Like getting really good advice from someone who believes it himself
I really enjoyed this book and I will probably listen to it again. It reminded me a lot of Gin Stephens way of writing. (Delay Don’t Deny) It’s a lot of regular common sense things…….nothing the average person couldn’t at least try……I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost a year with great results ( not that this book is about that) but I want to keep up making good food choices for my family and myself. I’m going to buy Sleep Smarter next.

Eat Smarter is a Smart Choice
I had viewed interviews with Shawn Stevenson, and his sensible and well-researched information impressed me. I was not disappointed with his book.
This is a balanced combination of research and life experience that kept me interested throughout. The content is comprehensive looking at all aspects of nutrition from gut microbiome to mindfulness, the economy of poverty, and personality types, and how these affect our relationship to healthy eating.
I was laughing out aloud to Shawn's pop culture analogies, so clever and very entertaining.
His voice is an absolute pleasure to listen to, a flow of positive energy and enthusiasm.
Highly recommend. I will be listening again.

I've never finished an audio book, let alone gotten passed the 3rd or 4th chapter. I would drive around in circles just so I could get in the zone and listen to this book. changed my life after 12 years of struggling with my weight and mental health. thank you Shawn.

This is one of the most if not “THE” most informative and fun audio books I’ve listened to… I actually looked forward to being able to tune in and learn about my health… Shawn, you’re one of the most educated, informative people in your industry. Whilst the information you provided is paramount, I think we also have to give credit to your analogies… One of my favourite was when you were talking about Carbohydrates… “it involved a Twinkie, a Gatorade, and chasing the home team, he can get a little wild”… pure gold… keep up the amazing work…
