Found my healing path with this book

I was sinking in depression and anxiety. Was seeing a therapist but still couldn’t see the light. After hearing about Dr Amen on Jay Shety’s podcast, I bought the book and audiobook and read it all in one go. So, even without feeling the strength or the energy to take action, I started following Dr A’s practical advice. I did it all! From meditation to diet; from supplements to exercise. Vision board, non negotiable daily tasks, sleep, The Work, gratitude journal... the list goes on.
And finally, little by little I started healing. I still have my triggers and dark days but now I know I have the right tools to succeed. Thank you

Eye opening

This was a very detailed look at things that are bad and good for your brain. It has opened my eyes up to healthy lifestyle changes. In my opinion small gradual changes and better diet and books like this from Dr Amen can make lasting changes in overall health and happiness in Life.

not what i expected.

I have alot of stress due to work changes. i was looking for help with that. this book took me down a path I didn't expect. great information, went well beyond expected

Amen is far and away the best psychiatrist!

I own everyone of his books and think this one covers so many important topics. I would be a bargain if it cost $100.00,

NOT for driving-has guided meditation.

I saw this guy do a TedTalk. it was amazing. I loved the science and Dr. Amen's personality. I'm sure this is a great book, but not for me or as an audible. I didn't give it much of a chance, returning it before chapter 1 ended. It may be for you. Dr. Amen is really lively and likeable on video, but I found him dry and flat on the audible book.

Only 4 on the story because he didn't do the audio

Overall great book. Was very different but extremely informative. 5 star book for sure. My ants use to be wolves I fed, but now I'm turning them to ants. I'm 100% thankful ang grateful that the Jay Shetty pod cast led me to you. I've listened to Jay shettys book and that's where I got my wolf reference. Thank you Mr. Amen. This book has served a purpose in my life.

Easy to listen to

Excellent book. More information than I required however very easy to recognise what one could do to improve and protect ones brain . The real life situations opened one's eyes to how the brain can be so easily damaged and healed. This made one reflect on situations past and present many light bulb moments. Tried some of the techniques which really worked immediately. All health professionals should access this book as well as non health professionals

life changing book in so many ways

I'm a personal trainer but I coach and have been for over 10 years I've been preaching the idea of being healthy to healthy habits this book and Dr a man and his research has made me want to open an amen clinic here in Australia I think it's definitely something that we need and it's definitely something that I'm going to keep pushing towards
