Publisher's Summary

The Sanskrit word Guru means 'teacher' or 'guide'.

To the Pandavas, Guru meant a man by the name of Dronacharya. To Eklavya, Guru meant a clay statue. Yet both of these are examples of a Guru-Disciple relationship.

There are many applications of the concept of Guru.

Guru Sutra explains the relationship between the Shishya (the Disciple) and a SiddhGuru (the Spiritual teacher).

How can you identify the Guru in your life? And how can you as a disciple maximize the learning from your Guru?

Deeply enriching still very simple.

The experiences of people living in today’s day and age is very surprising. The concepts dealt about a guru and disciple are very informative. One of the most relevant book keeping in mind today’s life style.
Highly recommend this book for a person who is looking to enlighten not only his life but his afterlife as well.

Gratitude

Guru Sutra : Recommended to all who are seeking spiritual evolvement / knowing oneself. Hingori; has most simply shared experiences and relevance of a sincere evolved mentor in a seekers journey. Like all his books it’s a rather simple read for one and all to understand and get clarity on the concept of having a mentor and be assured of the significance of a Siddh Guru for spiritual awakening. Many thanks yet again 🙏

A real eye-opener!

Guru’s generally have a bad reputation of being manipulative and money grabbing extortionists. I was skeptical about Guru’s after reading so many horror stories in the press and media about God men aka ‘Guru’s’ who had molested and lied and cheated their disciples.

But listening to this book I realised that there can be such a thing as a genuine and Sidh Guru who can be a guiding light and protective force in the life of a disciple. By helping one see things with a holistic and deeper perspective, a true Guru can transform the quality of ones life.

If it rains, a Guru cannot make it stop raining and take the problem away, but He can give an umbrella which will make the suffering a little bit less. All this by removing ignorance from which 99.9% of humanity suffers. So lucky are those that can find a Guru and receive his Grace. Because without the Grace, most of us are just miserable and fearful humans running a never ending rat race...

Guru Sutra made me realise my good luck in having a Guru and inspired and motivated me to learn as much from him as possible...so that one day I may grow and evolve into becoming like Him and help others around me.

Insightful read

Insightful and deep, elaborates a certain sect, but the Principals are universal. A good read to start the process of thinking about important questions....

A deeper understanding of Spirituality!

I always wanted to learn about my purpose of life. In my journey to understand the purpose of life I came across the Hingori set of books. It was an eye opener for me personally to read Karma Sutra, it gave me a clear picture of the Karma Philosophy. We as human beings have been taking from Mother Earth, there is no thought of giving it back to her. The book cleared various concepts for me on my spiritual journey. I was happy to go through Guru Sutra the book and was thrilled to hear Surjan Singh on the audiobook read out the Guru Sutra book. Surjan Singh's voice brings out the essence of what the author wants to communicate. The book not only illustrates the Guru Shishya relation but also explains the nuances of spiritual growth. The audiobook on Audible gave me the flexibility to hear the book while driving, walking or in-between my meetings. I have loved both reading and listening to the Guru Sutra, and would highly recommend reading, listening or both to spiritual enthusiasts.

A complex subject so simply explained... Must Read

Being the 4th book of the Hingori series that I've read and listened to a couple of times now, the author has brilliantly explained the concepts of spirituality and the relationship between the Guru and the disciple in an anecdotal, intellectually stimulating tone.

Listening to this audiobook feels like having a direct conversation with the author, with content which feels tailored exactly for you. This style of writing not only allows you to relate and resonate with the concepts, but also gives you the freedom to chose your own path with a logical structured guide as a roadmap. The book throws light on the qualities of a Guru, and the importance of one as a catalyst in the life of an individual in pursuit of spiritual evolution.

Would recommend a read, whether spiritually inclined or not, because this book will definitely get you to ponder on how to discover the Guru within.
